Gavin's first carosel ride

Gavin loved his first carosel ride at the zoo. He looks pretty serious in the picture but he didn't like it when the ride was over.
Gavin is almost 16 months when this picture was taken and thinks he is just as big as his brothers and sister. If they can do it, so can Gavin. Love that boy!

Grant's Piano Rectial

Grant has taken piano for 2 and a half years now. He plays really well and catches on to new music quickly. Sara Graff taught Grant piano this school year.  Sara had a recital for her students on Thursday May 7th at her house. Grant played Linus and Lucy and Turkish March for his recital pieces. He picked them out himself. A video of his performance is on my facebook page:) Keep up the good work Grant!

Garrett's Field Trip to the AZ Science Center

Monday May 13th, I chaperoned Garrett's field trip. We went to the AZ Science Center and I was in charge of Garrett of 3 other children in his classroom. We rode the bus to the museum and after we arrived were given the instructions to explore however we wished. The water features were a big hit, along with the stomach slide and wheel chair races. Garrett got to touch a static electricity machine and his hair rose up all over. I'm glad that I got to be a part of Garrett's field trip experience. It was my first time to chaperone on a field trip with him.

Grace's Preschool

Grace had her end of the year preschool program on Tuesday May 14th. She wore her cute outfit and headband and sang with the other kids in her classroom. She sang Rise and Shine and Welcome to School today, and A Tootie TaTa. Grace was given her certificate and a purple summer bucket filled with treats for completing her year. Afterwards, we ate icecream sundays, hugged Ms. Kathy and said our goodbyes until August. Ms. Kathy and Ms. Tannis have been wonderful teachers for Grace and I'm excited that she will have them both to teach her next year for preschool.

Butterfly Pavilion

Friday May 10th was National Public Gardens Day and the Phoenix Botanical Gardens was free so I thought it would be fun to take the two smaller kids there! My neighbor Shannon went with me and her two kids, Brodi and Hannah. We waited in line for about 30 minutes- it was hot, and then got to go inside with all of the butterflies. Grace loved looking at all of the butterflies. There were orange ones, yellow ones, black and white ones. When we were exited the exhibit, one landed on Shannon's back. I guess it is good luck if a butterfly lands on you. Outside of the exhibit were boards painted as a butterfly and a caterpillar with holes cut out of them to place your head through. I took pictures of Grace, Brodi, and Hannah. All in all it was fun, and I'm glad we went. Afterwards, we drove down to Ryan's work and met him for lunch and yogurt.
